What is third party assurance?
Third-party assurance, in essence, is an external verification of the reporting process. It is done in a systematic, documented, evidence-based manner that follows set procedures. In that process, a solid materiality analysis is key to determine which topics you will include and develop in your report.
Your step-by-step guide
With these two easy steps, you can download the data you need from Datamaran to provide to your auditor.
Option 1: The below GIF shows you how you can download your materiality data directly from the Matrix View.
How to download materiality data from the Matrix View
To get the analysis data export:
- Go to the Matrix View.
- Click on the three-dots button on the top left corner and expand the download menu.
- Click ‘Download analysis data’ and Datamaran will prepare a spreadsheet file which includes general information about your analysis, inputs for each module as well as the data for each module.
Option 2: From the Getting Started page you can download all data sets directly as well as the standard narrative, which describes the approach Datamaran has taken to analyze the data.
For your auditors, it is also key to understand how you got to the final output. Therefore, Datamaran provides every client with a standard narrative which describes and summarizes the approach of the analysis.
To get the standard narrative:
- Go to your Getting Started page and click on the analysis tile your need your data for.
- In the drop down menu you can find the standard narrative - next to data exports for every module of the analysis.
