Account Director

We are looking for an Account Director who will play the critical role of driving revenue growth within the company. 

This role is a target-driven business development role that involves face-to-face consultative solution selling with executive level contacts within new and existing customers. 

The Account Director will build upon the existing blue chips we work with already and take our unique and innovative offering to similar major companies.

Candidates must have personally demonstrated solution-selling experience, including developing account strategies, providing strong leadership and hands-on participation in strategic engagements.

When?       As soon as possible

Where?     Anywhere - but in a location where it is possible to target European and North-American markets

Salary:       Competitive (base salary plus performance-based bonus)

You will:

  • Drive new business acquisition; accurately developing, forecasting and closing business by building an opportunity pipeline and achieving revenue goals across a target portfolio
  • Build relationships at C-suite and Board level, escalating interest through the enterprise-chain, primarily across CFOs, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Sustainability Officers and Heads of Audit
  • Focus on selling a new Datamaran offering “Datamaran X” which provides executives with - currently often lacking - business processes for external risk management
  • Manage all phases of the business development cycle, including opportunity identification, proposal development, to negotiating agreements
  • Quickly grasp client business aims and strategic requirements to match solutions around those specific needs
  • Keep in regular check with your Accounts to make sure that the client is getting the expected value from the product; as we roll out this new offering you will make sure that the implementation of the software is going smoothly and step in where needed
  • Join the Accounts & Community team - the team in which collaboration between marketing, sales, customer success and partnerships colleagues is the key priority and the key to our joined success

You have:

  • A track record of consistent, high-value solution sales revenue achievement, focused on new business acquisition
  • Adept all stages of the sales cycle, including developing account strategies, research, objection-handling, negotiation & clients relationship management
  • Proven strong leadership and hand-on participation in strategic engagements 
  • Knowledge of materiality analysis, risk management, annual reporting, board reporting etc; gained from within the accounting, sustainability, ESG arena
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of revenue achievement - focused on and expert at new business hunting
